About
Two engineers. One shared conviction.
Software should be ethical, accessible, and actually useful. Everything else follows from that.
How this started
Sandeep and Santosh met studying computer science engineering — and have been building things together, in one form or another, for 25 years since.
Proteanbits came out of a shared frustration: too much software is built to manipulate, exclude, or impress rather than to genuinely help. Cookie banners designed to confuse. Pricing hidden until the last step. Interfaces that work for some and fail everyone else.
We wanted to build the other kind — the no-nonsense kind. Products that do what they say, treat users with respect, and work for everyone from the start.
That's still the only kind we build.
"Adaptable by nature. Ethical by choice."
The team
Two people. No hierarchy. Whoever is best placed for the work does the work.

What we believe
- No titles, no silos.
- We don't have roles. We have ownership. Both of us do whatever the work demands — design, code, strategy, client calls. Titles create boundaries; we don't want those.
- Ethical is not a feature.
- No dark patterns. Honest pricing. Real accessibility. These aren't selling points we added to a product — they're the starting point every time.
- Build less, build right.
- We'd rather ship a smaller thing that works well than a larger thing that works poorly. Scope creep is a disservice to clients.
- We bet on people.
- If we believe in what you're building, we're willing to invest — not just invoice. That's not a promotion. It's how we actually think.
Sound like the right fit?
We're a small team by choice. We take on work we believe in. If that sounds like a match, let's talk.
